A quick fish quilt

Sometimes a quick doodle turns bad, this happened recently with a watercolor pencil drawing I did. Not prepping my fabric resulted in bleeding lines.

I corrected my error by painting a matte medium over the entire background. I mixed a light tint of blue into this matte. Then I applied a series of stencils, paint blobs, rubbing alcohol and watercolor pencils.
Freezer paper mask over watercolor pencil
My Fav stencil was used to add texture

I painted in lilies, rocks and sand

It had been my hope that I was going to quilt this and stitch it over a frame I had lying around but it did not work out so I will just quilt it and apply a facing.
Please feel free to ask questions.
